A Day At School
Program Schedule is comprised of the following subjects/activities:

Arrival: Hang coat, backpack, and engage in free play...

Cubby Assignment: Small table-time task.

Circle Time: Classmate greeting, calendar, weather, discuss objectives...

Table Work: Introduces new skills to children/fine motor skills/small group instruction...

Centers: Children are working at play centers using imagination and social behaviors...

Outdoor Play: fun outdoors, using gross motor skills, scavenger hunts, sidewalk chalk &
more...

Snack Time: Children will visit the bathroom to wash hands, and then have their snack...

Core Subjects: Incorporated in program different days of your child's program...

  • Math: shapes/matching/patterning/blocks/basic skills (+,-)...

  • Science: All about me/my body/5-senses/ and more...

  • Social Studies: Different Families/Different Houses/around the neighborhood...

  • Pre-Reading: Working with our Puppet Friends and early phonics/phoneme...

  • Pre-Writting: Early writting/scirbbles/tracing/drawing...

  • Computers:  Introduction to computers/mastering the mouse/math & phonics...

Circle Time: Re-cap our day/dismissal, bye to our friends until the next school day....

    School Trips: Parents transport children to and from class trips.  Most trips are local to
                                         Toms River.  (Seasonal Trips)

    Fund Raisers: Muscular Dystrophy Association.  "Hop-A-Thon"
          
    Holiday Celebrations/Parties: All information comes home in your child's
